Poultry industry has huge potential to grow: vice chancellor UAF

After Textile, poultry is the second largest industry of the country with enormous growth potential, moreover, millions of workforce are associated with the industry. This was stated by UAF vice chancellor, Professor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan, while addressing the participants of a farewell ceremony held in honour of outgoing BSc (Hons) Poultry Science graduates from UAF Sub Campus TT Singh.
He said that UAF scientists played their vital role in revolutionising the poultry industry with their expertise and valued input. On the occasion, marketing manager of Ghazi Brothers, Dr Asif Mehmood Khan, said that his organisation is extending scholarships to both DVM and BSc (Hons) Poultry Science students and also offering job opportunities to those students, who showed outstanding performance, in either production, treatment, hatcheries, laboratory, marketing and other relevant wing. Bureau Chief, Nawa-e-waqt Lahore and daily the Nation Ahmad Kamal Nazami, participated in the ceremony as guest of honour.
Principal Sub-Campus, TT Singh, Dr Muhammad Aslam Mirza, Dean Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Dr Muhammad Siddique, Dean FVS, Dr Ahsan-ul-Haq Chairman Dept of Poultry Science, Dr Muhammad Jalal Arif PO PRP, Dr Muhammad Sajjad Khan Chairman, Dept of ABG, Dr Muhammad Iqbal Mustafa, Chairman Dept of Livestock Management, Dr Muhammad Tariq Technical Manager, Saqib Wahee National Sales Manager, Dr Zeeshan Ahmad Zaki Territory Manager Ghazi Brothers were also present on the occasion.
