IIU conducts Shariah orientation course for lawyers

The Shariah Academy, International Islamic University, conducted a two-week Shariah orientation course for lawyers at Abbotabad. The concluding ceremony of the course took place at the High Court Bar Association on Thursday. Former Chief Secretary of the NWFP, Abdullah Tanzeem was the chief guest.
Justice (Retd) Bashir Ahmad Jehangiri, former chief justice Abdul Mateen, District and Sessions Judge, Abbotabad and an eminent Professor of Law, Professor Nisar Ahmad Khan, and Director, Shariah Academy, Dr Mohammad Yusuf Faruqi attended the ceremony.
The chief guest and other distinguished guests showed their satisfaction over the course. They termed the course as very fruitful for lawyers and emphasised that such courses should regularly be conducted at least thrice in a year at Abbotabad. They also appreciated the efforts of the Shariah Academy for conducting such useful courses.
