Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Kaleem Imam, has ordered strict security measures in Capital and ordered to ensure fool proof security to avert an untoward situation, the police spokesman said. He said Islamabad Police have further tightened the security in the Federal Capital following the directions of IGP and deployment has been increased at various public places, hotels and other important buildings.
Police strength at the police pickets has been also increased and every effort is being made to ensure protection to the lives and property of the citizens, the police spokesman said. He said that newly appointed Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Kaleem Imam has also reviewed the security arrangements in Capital, which would be further made comprehensive keeping in view the law and order situation.
Meanwhile, a source said that police and magistrates have been directed to further enhance the security at all public and sensitive places. Special foolproof security arrangements are being made to ensure maintenance of law and order and protection of life and property of the citizens, he added. Magistrates and police officials have also been directed to start checking of hotels and guest houses and public places in the Federal Capital in order to ensure protection of life and property of the citizens, the source said.
Checking at the exit and entry points of the city is being further strengthened and police patrolling is being enhanced in order to avert any untoward situation. Meanwhile, the source said that a meeting was held here at the office of DIG (Operations), Bin Yameem on Tuesday, which was attended by the SPs, SDPOs and DSPs. Strict directions were made to ensure strict security measures and ensure friendly policing.
