FIC provided health facilities to 195,895 patients

With a view to provide advance health facilities to the masses under the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif as many as 195895 patients had been provided medical and diagnostic facilities from emergency. OPD, ETT, Holter, ECG, Eco Cardiography, indoor, BP Monitor, Angiography, Angioplasty, PPM/TPM, pathology, radiology and other section of Faisalabad Institute of Cardiology FIC) from May 2008 to 12th June, 2009.
Dr Muhammad Javed Iqbal Project Director FIC disclosed this during a briefing. Giving detail he said as many as 104636 patients were examined in OPD where as 3328 emergency patients were provided medical treatment in emergency ward.
He further told that ETT of 2651 patients, ECG 27124 patients, Eco Cardiography of 4145 patients, BP Monitor 49, Angiography of 612, Angioplasty of 104, Pathology test of 49466, Radiology of 951, Holter 274, and PPM of 30 patients were carried out while 1869 patients were provided facilities of indoor medical treatment during the period under reference. Dr Javed said that world class machinery for the treatment of all diseases were provided by the govt in FIC and patients from Faisalabad Division and adjoining districts were getting benefits from FIC.
