EOBI projects in Sindh reviewed

Federal Minister for Labour and Manpower, Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah presided over a high level meeting of the Worker's Welfare Board (WWB), Sindh, here today and reviewed the pace of development projects of the Employees Old Age Benefit Institute (EOBI) in Sindh.
Additional Secretary Health, Sindh, Secretary Labour Department, Sindh, Secretary Worker Welfare Board, Sindh and other high officials of the Ministry of Labour and Manpower also attended the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, the Federal Minister said that welfare and prosperity of the working class in the country was the top priority of the PPP government.
The Federal Minister said that the Workers Welfare Fund, established during the era of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, was taking concrete steps for solving the problems of labourers and other working class in the country. The Federal Minister directed the WWB, Sindh for early completion of the on-going Workers Welfare Projects and maintaining standards in the construction of these projects.
The meeting reviewed the under-construction Nursing College, Karachi and Sukkur, Burn and Trauma Centre in Sukkur, Kotri, Nawab Shah and Larkana. The meeting also reviewed the pace of under construction residential 500 flats in Qadar Pur, gas field Gotki, 556 flats in Nawab Shah. 512 flats in Badin, 265 flats in Tando Muhammad Khan and 1026 flats (Worker Complex) in Sukkur.-PR
