Rising trend witnessed on seed, grain market

Prices moved up on the wholesale grain market on Thursday as buyers were active to cover the immediate needs, dealers said. On the grams side gram dal Australia low type was higher by Rs 50 to Rs 3,600 while the better type gained Rs 100 to Rs 3,850; gram 50x50 low type inched up with a rise of Rs 50 to Rs 3,175 and the good type.
However, shed the same amount to Rs 3,350; yellow peas dal Canada rose by Rs 50 to Rs 3,000-3,150 and dal Beetle followed the same pattern, gaining Rs 50 to Rs 3,750-3,950; they said.
On the cereal side masoor Canada quoted higher at Rs 8600 and masoor dall Canada also registered at Rs 10,100, urad Burma good type was up by Rs 150 to Rs 2,250 while the other quality did not move any side at Rs 2,600; sugar low type inched up by Rs 50 to Rs 4,300 while the good quality was trading at Rs 4,700; they said. A solo deal was seen on the seed side as cottonseed oilcake with bag rose by Rs 30 to Rs 1,280-1,300; other items firmly held the overnight levels, they said.
