At least three people were killed in different violent incidents across the city on Friday, police and witnesses said. An elderly man was gunned down while two other received bullet wounds in jurisdiction of Sharif Abad police station on Friday.
Sources at police station said, two unidentified armed persons riding a motorcycle opened fire on a fifty-year-old Rais Ahmed son of Zahoor Ahmed, leaving him dead on the spot. While two others Khushnood son of Mehmood, 35 and Muhammad Haroon received bullets injuries, they added. The deceased and injured Khushnood were shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital whereas Haroon was rushed to Aga Khan Hospital due to his precarious condition.
Police registered a case No 99/2009 under Sections 302, 324 and 334 against two unknown criminals and started further investigations. In another incident, Korangi Industrial Area police claim to have recovered a body of 35-year-old unidentified man, who was stabbed to death some three days ago. The police said it receive information early morning about suspected bag lying on the ground opposite to Khalifa Masjid, Korangi Crossing. When a police party reached at the spot and inspected the bag found a body of a matured man, the police added.
Later, the body of deceased was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medical examination. However, the deceased could not be identified till the filing of this news. In yet another incident, a 22-year-old young man was electrocuted in a house located near jet lines, Qasai Chowk when he was repairing water pump. Later, the deceased was shifted to JPMC for an autopsy where he was identified as Zaman Ahmed son of Niaz Ahmed.
