PBM distributes Rs five million among displaced Sikhs

Pakistan Bait-ul-Mall (PBM) distributed over Rs 5 million among the 500 families of Sikh, Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) at Hassanabdal on Saturday. The Sikh families were also among the displaced people of Swat and Malakand division, during the full-scale forces operation against the terrorists and militants.
Federal Minister for Minorities Shahbaz Bhatti said we should remove all differences in our ranks and express national solidarity and work together for the peace, prosperity and the development of the country. He said the government appreciates the sacrifices of Sikh families, who left their homes for the sake of country. The Minister said Gurunank also teaches peace, unity and tolerance for the promotion of harmony. Shahbaz Bhatti said that the PPP government would provide every possible facility to the IDPs and resolve all their problems following the agenda of PPP.
Chairman, PBM, Zamurd Khan distributed 500 pedestal fans, daily use items and dry food packed worth Rs 3 million among the IDPs. He said that state-enemies wanted instability in the country but they would never succeed in their nefarious aims.
Zamurd Khan said, "Sikh families are our guests not IDPs and PBM would stand by them". Robina Qaimkhani MNA said that government would soon overcome all challenges and maintain peace in Swat and Malakand division and prepare a special package for the Sikh IDPs.
She appreciated the efforts of Sikh women who have given the sacrifices for the nation and faced difficulties. Robina said that for the new-born babies government would approve 30,000, and added that for the marriage of girls would be provide money and daily use items. Dr Kartar Singh thanked the government and appreciated the efforts of government and appealed the political leaders of Swat and Malakand to work for rehabilitation of IDPs for the encouragement and restoration of confidence.
