The State Bank of Pakistan on Saturday announced to continue the existing limit of Long-Term Financing Facility (LTFF) Scheme. In a communication addressed to all banks, it said that LTFF limits, sanctioned in favour of banks for the year 2008-09, are due to expire on June 30, 2009.
In order to ensure that financing facilities are available to borrowers till finalisation of new limits under the Scheme for the financial year 2009-10, it has been decided to continue the existing limit, the SBP said. Further, the banks have been advised to furnish limit requirements for FY 2009-10 under LTFF Scheme and borrower-wise details of cases being sanctioned and application(s) in process under the Scheme, latest by June 25, 2009, to enable the SBP to finalise limits under the Scheme for FY 2009-10.
