Women Media Center in collaboration with National Endowment for Democracy, USA will hold a one-day conference titled "Building Bridges between Politicians, Female Journalists and Citizens" on June 22 (Monday). The daylong conference is exclusively arranged for female journalists.
This conference is aimed to explore how female journalists can help strengthen democratic principles and processes, said a news release issued here.
In recent years, the electronic media has managed to make its space after trudging through treacherous waters and dictatorial leaderships.
The media and politics share a mutual relationship and politicians require a strong media for conveying their thoughts and feelings to the masses while the media depends upon the effective coverage of political activities for its extension.
However, a third party, the citizens of the country are missing in this whole scenario. The Women Media Center felt the need to build bridges between these three different factions of society so that all three can benefit from each other.
