1,249 prisoners to benefit from Supreme Court order in Balochistan

The sentences of a total of 1,249 inmates had been reduced who were completing their jail terms in 10 prisons of Balochistan after the implementation of the order of the Supreme Court (SC) regarding the sentence of prisoners get started from the day they are put behind bars, Balochistan inspector general prisons, Shuja-ud-Din Kasi told journalists on Sunday.
He said that the prisons authorities had so far released 28 prisoners after implementing the order of the Apex Court in the province. He said that there were total of 2800 prisoners in Balochistan's jails and these prisons had the capacity of keeping only 2000 inmates.
