105 Sikh Yatrees arrive in Lahore

A group of 105 Sikh Yatrees arrived here by a special train on Sunday to observe 170th death anniversary of Maharajah Ranjeet Singh. Additional Secretary Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB), Siddique Khurram and member of Gurdwara Parbandak Committee Pakistan (GPCP), Sardar Sham Singh received Sikh Yatrees on their arrival at Wagha Railway station.
Special arrangements were made by concerned department for facilitating Sikh Yatrees on the occasion. On the occasion, group leader Sardar Baldev Singh said that they were always welcomed by the people of Pakistan, who never give them a chance of complaint. "That is why we frequently come here".
He called upon both the governments of Pakistan and India to remove their mutual differences through dialogue and negotiation. Soon after their arrival, Sikh Yatrees will leave for Hassanabdal where they will perform rituals at Gurdwara Panja Sahib till June 22-23. They will also visit Gurdwara Janamasthan in Nankana Sahib where they will stay till June 26. The Sikh Yatrees will visit Gurdwara Dera Sahib here on June 26 to perform rituals till June 30.
