'Meezan Labbaik' launched

Meezan Bank Limited on Monday launched a new product 'Meezan Labbaik' to facilitate customers in performing Hajj and Umrah and pilgrimage of holy places of Makkah and Madinah with comfort and peace of mind.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Irfan Siddiqui, President and Chief Executive Officer of Meezan Bank said the new product would be available through the bank's network of 166 branches in 40 cities across Pakistan under the name 'Meezan Labbaik'- a completely Halal and Riba-free product. On the occasion Ariful Islam, Chief Operating Officer, and Dr Imran Usmani, Sharia Adviser to Meezan Bank were also present.
"On opening a 'Meezan Labbaik' account, Meezan Bank will facilitate the customers for all matters related to the Holy act of performing Hajj or Umrah and will provide one-stop facilities including Visa processing, ticketing through a designated travel agent, meet and assist, hotel reservations, Ziyaraat and other travel arrangements," president Meezan Bank said.
He said Meezan Bank had launched this product to provide comfort, convenience and security to pilgrims so that they could perform Hajj and Umrah with peace of mind and at an affordable cost, adding "The especially designed packages are well-organised and competitively priced."
He said 'Meezan Labbaik' would allow customers to save money to perform Hajj or Umrah or avail an instalment plan to pay over a period of time. It was also available to customers who wanted to make the full payment upfront and proceed immediately for Hajj/Umrah, he added. By offering this product, Meezan Bank had taken another major step in the direction of achieving its vision of making Islamic Banking the banking of first choice, Siddiqui said.
