Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 116,890 tonnes of cargo including 82,601 tonnes import and 34,289 tonnes export cargo during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The cargo comprised of 86,397 tonnes dry cargo including 55,571 tonnes general cargo; 2,416 tonnes yellow peas; 16,432 tonnes coal; 12,038 tonnes cement and 30,493 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Nine ships namely LTC Calvin P Titus, Bunga Pelangi Dua, Chitral, Mol Golden Wattle, Kota Hakim, Mol Ability, Good Hope and Quetta sailed out to sea during the report period. Six vessels viz Hammurabi, Apl Pusan, Kota Hakim, Atoyac, H&H Tide and Bunga Raya Satu are currently at the berths. Three ships namely Pacific Arrow, H&H Tide and Bunga Raya Satu expected to sail on Tuesday.
Three vessels viz Apl Yokohama, Apl Chicago and Breeze due to arrive on Tuesday, while three ships namely Kota Layar, Hyundai Duke and Fabulous are due to arrive on Wednesday.

Two ships namely CV MSC Bulgaria and MT Sichem Defender sailed out to sea during last 24 hours while another ship namely CV Maersk Iowa is expected to sail on Tuesday. A total of seven vessels viz Nedlloyed Asia, Msc Megalin, Msc Corsica, Saheen Al-Ghanim, Abyot, Alexi-I and Rimar carrying containers, clinker and cement are currently at the outer anchorage.
Seven ships namely CV Maersk Iowa, CV MSC Bulgaria, MV Super Star-III, MT Sichem Defender and MT Sea Lion are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement and furnace oil during last 24 hours. Two ships namely CV Nedlloyed Asia and MV First Endeavour carrying containers and coal are expected to take berths at Containers Terminal and IOC Berth respectively on Tuesday.
Two vessels viz CV Corsica and MT Sichem Melbourne with containers and chemicals due to arrive on Tuesday while three ships namely CV ACX Salvia, MV Sargodha and MV Atlantic Dream scheduled to load/offload containers, rice and sugar are due to arrive on Wednesday.
