Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, has said that a study tour of the educational projects of Qatar Foundation will be arranged for the talented students who have received scholarships from Educational Endowment Fund (EEF). He said during his visit to different projects of Qatar Foundation in Qatar Thursday.
During briefing on this occasion, the CM was informed that universities and educational institutions of international standard were set up in Education City of Qatar Foundation. Later, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif visited TEXAS A&M University and Weill Cornell University. He was informed that TEXAS A&M was one of the leading engineering universities.
Expressing his keen interest in Weill Cornell University, which was among the top American medical universities, he said that he would soon send a team for a detailed visit to the university. During inspection of various sections of the projects under the administration of Qatar Foundation, the Chief Minister appreciated the performance of the Foundation with regard to education and scientific research.
He further said that a study tour of the projects would be arranged for students who had won scholarships from Punjab EEF. He expressed the hope that the brilliant students of Punjab would learn a lot from the visit to the projects of Qatar Foundation.
