Pakistan Customs on Friday marked International Narcotics Day with a seminar organised by the Customs Drug Enforcement Cell at the Air Freight Unit to discuss importance of the day. Assistant Collector of Customs Ali Zeb Khan elaborated some novel methods of drug concealment that was followed in a law enforcement documentary by Customs PRO Qamaruddin Thalho.
The role of sister agencies in this regard was also highlighted and appreciation certificates were awarded. Chief Collector of Customs (South), Sher Nawaz Khan was the chief guest whereas the ceremony was attended by Collector (Preventive) Fateh M Shaikh and other senior officers.
Later in the evening a large quantity of confiscated foreign liquor, contraband narcotics, prohibited medicines, hazardous tobacco products and betel nuts were destroyed at Hawksbay in presence of senior officers of different law enforcement agencies.-PR
