The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) on Monday announced the results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) annual examination Part-II, 2009 with a pass percentage of 81.77 percent. According to the board's notification, a total of 58,870 candidates had appeared in the examination, held in April/May, out of which 48,044 cleared all the subjects.
It says 10,826 were declared fail in the examination. As many as 54 unfair means cases have been registered against the students. The pass percentage among the girls was 85.98 percent, and among boys, it was 78.12 percent. As many as 27,375 girl candidates appeared in the examination, out of which 23,496 were declared successful.
On the other hand 31,495 boys appeared in the examination, out of which 24,548 passed. Out of the total 8,208 candidates, 8,178 took examination in Humanities group, 6,711 were declared pass and 1,464 fail and the result was 82.09 percent. Over 11,000 private candidates appeared in the examination, out of which 4,897 students were declared pass and 6,767 fail, the result remained 41.89 percent. The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Supplementary Examination, 2009 of the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Islamabad would start from August 25, 2009.
