Punjab Minister for Law Rana Sanaullah Khan has said the provincial government under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, has made a record achievements regarding public welfare and development activities within a short span of time. He said the special attention was given on those constituencies, which were neglected by previous government, to redress their grievances, and developmental activities in PP 70 were an example of this policy.
He was addressing a gathering of the party workers, local bodies representatives and the people of his constituency at a restaurant at Samundri Road here, which was arranged to celebrate one-year performance regarding services and development works undertaken by the Law Minister in his constituency. Rana Sanaullah was warmly welcomed at the venue of the reception amid tunes of band and showering of rose petals, while a beautiful fireworks' display was also held.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said he had not taken development funds during the previous government because he was sitting in opposition and was endeavouring for restoration of democracy. "The people of my constituency had been forced to lead miserable life with broken roads and overflow of sewerage water," he added.
He said the voters of his constituency stood by him and rendered sacrifices for democracy and again elected him during the bye-election held in June last year. He thanked his supporters and said efforts had been made for the completion of a number of development projects during the last one year to eliminate backwardness in this constituency.
He said the election promises were being fulfilled and special attention was given on the solution to individual and collective problems of areas for which special arrangement had been made in his local office to facilitate the people. The minister said injustice by any government department would not be tolerated and people should be ensured their rights on priority basis.
He said uplift projects for the provision of durable roads, efficient sewerage system, rehabilitation of public parks, provision of education facilities and others basic amenities were being carried out in PP 70 with huge funds, which was a clear proof of his performance to serve the people of the area. He said important main roads were being constructed under the supervision of NLC to discourage commission mafia. The minister said his doors were always open for the people to redress their problems.
Union Council Nazims, Naib Nazim, councillors and other speakers included Tariq Manj, Sharafat Khatak, Mirza Abdul Hameed, Dr Masud, Malik Saeed, Mirza Tariq Mehmud, Azim Yasin, Chaudhry Anwar, Afzal Dogar, Malik Sabir, Fareedullah Khatak, Dr Ashiq Remani, Ishfaq Goap, Zia Rehman Butt, Mehmud Alam Rehmanim Mian Tanvir Aftab, Jamal Dogar, Muhammad Ashraf, Shafique Ansari, Rana Wariz, Fazal Karim Kamboh, Rana Riasat and Rana Shafique. They lauded the performance of the Law Minister for the development activities in PP 70, and said the record development projects had been undertaken in this constituency.
