Gems and Gemological Institute of Pakistan (GGIP), the cutting and polishing training institute of precious and semi-precious stones begun 42nd Gem and Gemological Course on Wednesday. The chairman, All Pakistan Commercial Exporters Association (APCEA) and GGIP Zia-ul-Haq Sarhadi inaugurated the course in the presence of the members of the board directors, Imtiaz Ahmad, Pervez Elahi Malik and large number of the exporters of precious stones.
The chairman, APCEA, appreciated the participants for joining the course. He also briefed the participants on the aimed and objectives of the institute and benefits of the 42nd course. Talking about students, who had completed the course, Sarhadi said that 1600 students have completed training from the institute so far, who are, he said, not only exhibiting their capabilities in the gemstone sector, but also running successful business both at local and international levels. He urged the participants of the course to take keen interest to get training in cutting, polishing and designing of the gemstones with attention and devotion. He assured all possible co-operation to the participants of the course.-PR
