The Federal Minister for Communications Dr Arbab Alamgir Khan Khalil has said that the government will make use of all the resources for a timely completion of Hassanabdal-Mansehra Expressway (E-35). The Federal Minister expressed these views in a high level meeting with the Members of National Assembly, Hazara Division.
The Minister said that the project, in its second phase, would be extended to Gwadar. He highlighted that similar to China's co-operation in the Karakoram Highway, other highways would also be completed with the collaboration of friendly countries. He hinted that this would naturally result in the construction of Bhasha Dam.
The Members of National Assembly from Hazara Division, while expressing their reservations about the Abbotabad Bypass, urged that the welfare of people from these areas must be taken into account during the construction of the said project. The building of Expressway is part of a government's drive to establish a network of highways to connect the country to the Central Asian States.
On this occasion, Secretary Communications Sharif Ahmad Khan, Chairman NHA Altaf Ahmad Chaudhry, Commissioner Hazara Division Waqar Ayub and other high officials were also present.-PR
