Bollywood’s model turned actor, Arjun Rampal most definitely saved his real acting skills for playing the role of gangster turned politician, Arun Gawli in the upcoming movie, ‘Daddy’. The actor’s transformation for the role has left his fans dumbfounded.
Arjun Rampal and movie’s makers went miles to make the actor look similar to Gawli, the ‘Rock On’ star even had to wear an over sized nose prosthetic covering his slim and slender nose. Rampal looks for the movie makes him look almost identical to the gangster.
According to Deccan Chronicles, while prepping for his role Arjun met Arun Gawli to portray the gangster for the biopic close to reality, the actor was awed by Gawli’s interest towards his role. Arjun recalls, “When I met him for the first time, Gawli told me that I was tall; and he even asked if I was learning Marathi. I told him that I am currently learning Marathi for the role.”
Arjun adds that Gawli too wants his project to be successful. “What I particularly like about him is that he made me change a few mannerisms of his aide. After he watched the film, he corrected us saying that this person will never speak like this; so make the necessary changes. Though he did not ask us to make any change for him. That’s his greatness.”
The Ashim Ahluwalia’s directed biopic is all set to release on the 30th of August, the movie also stars South Indian actress, Aishawarya Rajesh as Asha Gawli, wife of Arun Gawli.
