Seminar on intellectual property rights held

Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST) organised a seminar on recognising and respecting intellectual property rights in collaboration with Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Centre (Pastic) and Intellectual Property Organisation (IPO).
Purpose of the seminar was to raise the level of Intellectual Property Rights awareness amongst students and academia, to develop a strong research culture characterised by objectivity and originality, through creativity and responsibility. An august gathering of scholars, academicians and officials from Government and private sector including Chairman Pakistan Science Foundation, Dr Syed Azhar Hasan participated in the Seminar.
Scholars and "academia from SZABIST and other universities were also present on the occasion. Speakers from Pastic and IPO have also highlighted the significance of intellectual property rights, patents, trade marks, copyrights and software related issues etc. At the end Syed Asad Hussain distributed shields among the participants.-PR
