Earth-quake Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Authority (ERRA) Board has approved Rs 9.17 billion for nine mega projects which would be completed in Muzaffarabad, Bagh and Rawalakot areas. This was stated by Director General SERRA Dr Asif Shah during a meeting with AJK Premier Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan here at Prime Minister Secretariat on Friday.
Giving details of the Board meeting which was held in Islamabad on Thursday, the DG apprised the AJK Premier that the ERRA Board has approved Rs 1353 million for the construction of district headquarter complex Rawalakot, Rs 1460 million for the construction of DHQ complex Bagh, Rs 4278 million for the building of King Abdullah university campus at Chatter Class Muzaffarabad, Rs 300 million for Post Graduate college for boys at Muzaffarabad, and Rs 500 million for rain water project. He told that DHQ complex Rawalakot would be constructed at 4778 sq feet covered area that includes the administration block, offices and residential blocks, while DHQ complex Bagh would be constructed at 423.724 sq feet covered area.
He further informed that various reconstruction projects are in the final stage and these are being completed at Bagh, Rawalakot and Muzaffarabad districts. AJK Premier Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan on the occasion appreciated the reconstruction work of ERRA and said that rehabilitation work was a big challenge for the concerned authorities. He however said that the task handled by ERRA and SERRA was successfully being completed in the quake-hit areas so that the people of the affected areas could avail all the facilities without further delay.
