From Monday night the Karachi city witnessed heavy downpour with strong gust of winds, the huge setup of the cattle market, including marquees and tents, fell down due to the thunderstorm. On Tuesday morning, it appeared as if a flood had swept away the site of the Asia’s largest cattle market situated at Sohrab Goth on Super Highway.
Only few days left for Eid-ul-Adha, vendors now fear that the recent rain may cause illnesses to the animals. Social media is flooded with pictures and videos about the miserable condition of the cattle market.
Trees were uprooted due to the strong, gusty winds and vehicles were also damaged as a result.
