CTO ordered to appear before court

The Lahore High Court (LHC) here on Tuesday took suo motu notice in a view of suspension of three wardens, as they fined (challaned) a friend of senior traffic officer's wife for violating traffic signal, and sought personal appearance of Chief Traffic officer (CTO) and Deputy Inspector General (traffic) for August 12, Wednesday (today).
As per details, Sarfraz, Ghulam Murtaza and Irfan, while performing their duties at Fardous market in Gulberg area, they found a car violating traffic signal and stopped it. The lady, who was driving the car asked traffic warden not to challan her but the warden insisted. The lady made a call to her friend, who reached on the spot in no time in private car and strongly admonished wardens.
