All Chambers of Commerce and Industries including Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce as well as its affiliated traders associations celebrated the Independence Day of Pakistan on August 14 in a befitting manner.
President FPCCI, Sultan Ahmad Chawla, Chairman Businessmen Panel, Tariq Sayeed, founder Chairman Pak US Business Council and veteran trade leader Iftikhar Ali Malik, presidents of all chambers including an apex body of traders, Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry across the country had chalked out a comprehensive programme for celebrating the Independence Day of Pakistan in a remarkable manner.
The ceremonies were held at the headquarters of the federation, local chambers and associations. Sultan Chawla said Muslim traders and businessmen like other segments of the society played a pivotal role during the Pakistan movement.
Speaking in the provincial metropolis, Iftikhar Ali Malik said that trade leaders and business community paid rich tributes to father of the nation, Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah who carved out a separate independent homeland for Muslims of sub-continent. On this auspicious occasion, traders all over the country renewed their pledge to safeguard the ideological frontiers of Pakistan, as envisioned by father of the nation, he added.
