Working class celebrated 63rd 'Independence Day' of Pakistan with fervour by holding special meetings all over the country under the aegis of Pakistan Workers Federation (PWF) on Friday. A flag hoisting ceremony held at Bakhtiar Labour Hall in the morning and later a meeting of trade union representatives and workers at the same venue, which was addressed by Chaudhry Talib Nawaz, President PWF, Muhammad Akbar Khan, Muhammad Jameel Butt and various others.
Speaking on this occasion, Khurshid Ahmed, General Secretary PWF commended the role of the working class and their leaders for the struggle of independence and later for national economic development. He declared that the accomplishment of objective of independence for establishing an egalitarian society is still a far cry.
