Sindh University celebrates Independence Day

The 63rd Independence Day of the country was celebrated on Friday by the Sindh University (SU) in befitting manner at Allama I.I.Kazi Campus Jamshoro. The main function of Flag Hoisting was arranged at University's Hyder Bux Jatoi Pavilion where a large number of faculty members, officers, employees, students and people from different walks of life attended the Independence Day celebrations.
The Vice Chancellor University of Sindh Mazharul Haq Siddiqui was Chief Guest in Flag Hoisting and National Anthem ceremony. The Pro-Vice Chancellors Dr Rafia Ahmed Shaikh, Dr Iqbal Ahmed Panhwar, Deans of the Faculties, Registrar, M Saleh Rajar and heads of the teaching centres, institutes and departments were present.
A passing out parade of Police and Sindh University Security Guards and scouts of Dr N A Baloch Model School also took place. Speaking on the occasion Vice Chancellor University of Sindh said that our aim is to serve the youth by providing quality of education and to make them better Citizens of the Pakistan.
He said that duty of teachers is to pay attention to its students and administration has to facilitate teachers that they can perform their duty without and disturbances. He said that the responsibility of the students are to get education, study with full concentration without wasting any precious moment. He said that time is pricious and once it passed will not return again and added that we must be well aware about our responsibilities on our part.
