Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani hosted a traditional reception for senior serving and retired Armed Forces Officers, Junior Commissioned Officers and Non Commissioned Officers at the Artillery Officers Mess as part of the Independence Day Celebrations here on Friday. General Sawar Khan (Retd), former Vice Chief of Army Staff was the chief guest.
The Chief of Army Staff mixed freely with the guests. He met the retired officers and men present on the occasion and inquired about their health, welfare and exchanged views on various issues. The reception was attended by a large number of senior serving and retired officers, Junior Commissioned Officers and Non Commissioned Officers.
