Youths accuse Ministry of nepotism, infringement

The juveniles of the nation are once again deprived of their rights as they feel they have not been done justice with in the selection of awards under the National Youth Award 2009 on the very moments of the International Youth Day, Business Recorder has learned from reliable sources.
The youth allege the authorities of nepotism and violation of rules in the selection process held under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth Affairs on Wednesday.
"I was unjustly removed from the selected list of candidates of the National Youth Awards last year, after that I had made a group of deprived youth with the name of "Voice for Youth Rights" and raised voice against the authority," Hanaan Abbasi, a youngster informed. This year too, he maintained, "I had applied for the said awards, but I faced the same experience as a result of my efforts against the Ministry.
Another deprived youngster Sajad Nisar opined that he had registered complaint with the Minister for Youth Affairs, whose response was encouraging. Time and again, he tried to contact the Joint Secretary of Youth Ministry, Naeem Baig for seeking his comments on the matter, but for all to go in vain. However, another official of the Ministry was of the view that there must be equal representation of provinces and that the selection committee had chosen only one youngster from Sindh province.
