Egypt's GASC seeks wheat for September shipment

The Egyptian state's main wheat buying agency said on Tuesday it wanted to buy cargoes of 30,000 to 60,000 tonnes of optional-origin wheat for shipment September 11-20. Tenders should reach Egypt's General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) by noon local time (0900 GMT) on Wednesday and the results should come out around 4:30 pm (1330 GMT) on the same day.
Wheat bids should be free-on-board, with a separate freight offer. Nomani Nomani, vice chairman of GASC, said he was seeking 55,000 and/or 60,000 tonnes of US North Pacific soft white wheat, US hard red wheat, US soft red winter wheat, French milling wheat, Australian standard white wheat, Australian hard wheat, German milling wheat, Canadian soft wheat, Argentine bread wheat and/or Kazakhstan milling wheat.
GASC was also seeking cargoes of 30,000 and/or 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat, UK milling wheat (ukp or uks variety), Syrian wheat or Ukraine milling wheat. In its most recent international purchase on August 6, GASC bought 30,000 tonnes of Russian wheat and 180,000 tonnes of French wheat.
