Pakistan wants to strengthen economic ties with Saudi Arabia: Qureshi

Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, has said Pakistan greatly values its distinguished relations with Saudi Arabia and intends to further strengthen the existing ties in various fields, especially the economic sector. He said this while talking to Ambassador of Saudi Arabia, Abdul Aziz bin Ibrahim bin Saleh Al-Ghadeer who called on him here on Friday.
They exchanged views on the matters of mutual interest and expressed satisfaction over the existing relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The Foreign Minister appreciated the determination of the Ambassador towards promoting relations between the two countries. Qureshi raised the matter regarding five Pakistanis who were arrested on drug smuggling charges at Jeddah airport in June and urged the need for an early resolution of the matter.
The Saudi Ambassador thanked the Foreign Minister for the help and assistance he has been receiving from Pakistan government in the performance of his functions and stated that he would continue to work for enhancing bilateral co-operation in various fields and pay particular attention to enhance Saudi investment in Pakistan.-PR
