'CDGK providing best possible sports facilities to youths'

Nazim Karachi, Syed Mustafa Kamal has said that City Government is constructing 16 stadiums of international standard in various Town to provide sports facilities to the youth and four of them had been completed where flood lights were also provided.
He was talking to Qasim Zia, President Pakistan Hockey Federation who met him at his office. On the occasion Qasim Zia invited the Nazim to be chief guest at the Junior Super Hockey League.
Mustafa Kamal told PHF President that while on one side city government carried out scores of development schemes in the city, it provided sports facilities to the youth at a large scale and cricket teams were formed at the City and Town levels.
He informed that Cricket Academies established at the level of 18 towns and the youth getting training from there would bring fame to Pakistan at the international level. City Nazim pointed out that besides construction of cricket stadiums with floodlights, facilities for others sports were also being provided.
In this regard he referred to laying of astro turf at Gulshan-e-Iqbal Hockey ground and said plan also chalked out for having astro-turf grounds in other Towns.
Nazim said hockey was our national sport and city government was providing facilities of international standard to hockey players so that our national teams could get talented hockey players from Karachi.
