In its ongoing drive, the City Government teams sent 444 profiteers to jail and fined Rs 3.90 lac. DCO Javed Hanif Khan and Additional EDO Matanat Ali Khan paid a detail visit to the city on Ist of Ramazan and checked prices of essential items at business and commercial centres. They also visited atta stalls.
The CDGK Magistrates are continuing raids to check prices during which a fine of Rs 3.90 lac was imposed on 382 profiteers while 62 were sent to jail.
