Eight stalls set up to provide atta at subsidised rate

The DCO Jamshoro Sami Saddiqui has said that under the directives of Chief Minister Sindh, eight stalls have been set up in district Jamshoro to provide atta at the subsidised rate of Rs 10 per-kg to the people under Ramazan package.
In his press statement issued on Sunday, Sami Siddiqui said that out of these eight stalls, four stalls have been set up each at Khuda Ki Basti, Madina Chowk, Khursheed Chowk Site Area and Railway Phattak Jamshoro in Kotri Taluka, while one each stall being established at Thana Bola Khan City and Manjhand City .
Likewise two stalls one each being established in Sehwan and Bhan Saeedabad taluka Sehwan respectively. He said that the necessary arrangement has been made to sell Atta to the people at the subsidised rate of Rs 10 per-kg.
He said that in addition to that government fixed prices list of essential commodities has also been circulated among the shopkeepers of markets in the district with instruction to display the same in front of their shops. He said that nine revenue officers having special judicial powers have already launched anti-price hike campaign by paying surprise visits to the markets and had fined many shopkeepers on account of charging high price.
Besides, a Complaint Cell has been established within his office with telephone Nos. 022-3870135 / 022-3871299 / 022-3871944 and Fax No 022-3871199 not only to get feedback but also to monitor the market trend and take necessary action in case of any violation, he added. Sami Siddiqui warned the illegal profiteers, hoarders to refrain from charging high prices or creating artificial scarcity of essential commodities failing which strict action would be taken against them.
