In charge Relief Programme for the affectees of Gojra incident, Secretary Literacy Punjab Haseeb Athar has said that about 56 houses are being rebuilt and the initial work on them has been completed for the rehabilitation. He expressed these views during his briefing to members of National Assembly's Standing Committee for Minorities Affairs who were visiting Gojra to review relief activities.
He apprised the NA team that due to the rainy season, a special camp has also been established near the Catholic Church and all the basic facilities have been provided there. Special medical camps have also been set up and free medical treatment is being provided.
DPO T. T.Singh Ahmad Hassan Rana informed the members of NA committee about security arrangements for the area. At this occasion DCO T.T. Singh Amanullah Khan also gave a briefing to the about the steps taken by district administration for rehabilitating the affectees. Later on, NA standing committee members visited Christian Colony Gojra, Catholic Church and Chak Korai to express sympathies with the Christian community.
