Inspector General of Police, Punjab, Tariq Saleem Dogar has ordered to withhold annual increments of two DSPs on charges of corruption and negligence. According to a handout issued here Wednesday, the IG issued the orders against the police officers in the light of inquiry reports conducted on public complaints.
On a complaint of corruption and negligence against DSP Noor Muhammad, the IGP directed SP (Investigation), Vehari to hold inquiry into the matter. The inquiry officer had recommended withholding of one year increment of the DSP.
Similarly, on peoples' complaints of negligence against DSP Waqar Ahmed Deo former SHO Green Town police station Lahore, Tariq Saleem Dogar appointed SSP special branch as inquiry officer who in his report had recommended to withhold annual increment of the DSP.
On complaints of negligence against DSP Fida Hussain, the IGP appointed SP investigation Sheikhupura as inquiry officer who in his report had recommended to censure the said DSP. Hence, the IGP took action against all the three DSPs after they failed to prove their innocence in the inquiries.
