Babar administers oath to newly elected PQA CBA

Minister for Ports and shipping, Senator Babar Khan Ghauri on Wednesday administered oath to newly elected office bearers of CBA of Port Qasim Authority. Speaking on the occasion, the Federal Minister advised them to work for the welfare and uplift of fellow workers with commitment and make every effort for Port development and progress of the country.
He said that since Port Qasim is an operational port therefore is attracting direct foreign investment for the last few years. He called for portraying a vibrant, unpolitisized and business friendly image of the organisation to gain the trust and confidence of the prospective investors.
The Minster emphasised upon all the port employees to ensure observance of discipline in all spheres of administration and overall working of the organisation to facilitate the port users.
On the occasion he announced a donation of 50 bicycles for deserving PQA employees, to be given through ballot, one basic salary along with regular bonus to all officers and staff including daily wage and contract employees and provision of 200 motorcycles to needy employees on easy instalments.
He also announced regularisation of all daily wage and contract employees. Earlier, in his welcome address Chairman PQA, Vice Admiral M Arshad Qureshi (Retd), apprised the Minister about the Port's overall performance and activities in the social sector. The Chairman hoped that CBA would continue striving for the progress of the organisation and support the management in its endeavours to fulfil the designed objectives.-PR
