16th Eid Bachat Bazaar of SAI opens

Chairman Businessmen Group and former President of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Siraj Kassim Teli on Wednesday said that the purpose of holding Bachat Bazaar is to provide essential items on reduced rates during Ramazan.
Taking to newsmen after inauguration of 16th Eid Bachat Bazaar of Site Association of Industry (SAI), he said that in other countries of the world prices of goods decline considerably on religious occasions/festivals whereas in Pakistan prices register substantial jump on Eid and Islamic months.
He appreciated SAI's efforts to provide goods at 20 to 30 percent discounted rates to general public and industrial workers during Ramazan and Eid. Speaking on the occasion, Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister on Investment, Zubair Motiwala said the general public is facing hardships due to ever-increasing prices of essential goods and Site Association's efforts are commendable in providing goods at discounted rates.
Welcoming the guests, SAI Chairman Engr M A Jabbar said that 50 industrialists of Site and other industrial areas have set up their stalls to provide goods at less than ex-factory price. He said last year around 300,000 people visited SAI Bachat Bazaar and purchased Eid items.
