Quetta Electric Supply Company (Qesco) would soon launch work on 200 megawatt rental power plant project in the provincial capital in line with the federal government directive in this regard. Chief Executive Officer Qesco Shafiq Ahmed Khattaq told APP here that work on the project would be launched soon which after completion would not only resolve load shedding but also low voltage problems.
Referring to power demand of the province, he said total electricity demand of the province is about 1200 megawatts and the province faces a total of 450 megawatts shortfall which would be met through alternative means.
