RRF to be deployed to ensure law, order during Ramazan

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), Muhammad Pervez Rathore has ordered immediate deployment of Rapid Response Force (RRF) at important points in the city in order to ensure law and order during Ramazan. Capital City Police Officer, Muhammad Pervez Rathore informed that efforts are been made to make Lahore Police into a model police force.
He said the process of successfully tracing culprits through latest technology has been initiated and necessary scanners required in this regard would soon be available to Lahore Police. He said all records of Lahore Police are being rapidly computerised, which will enable every citizen of Lahore to inspect his FIR by inserting the name of the police station and the FIR number.
He said a system has been made whereby every citizen of Lahore would be able to inform about any crime on the Internet, which can later be converted into FIR. Muhammad Pervez Rathore further informed that now Lahore Police is using computer-generated graphics, instead of traditional paper and pencil, to make outlines of culprits, whereas pictures and fingerprints of the jailed criminals would also be traced on the computer.
CCPO said that a new system is being evolved regarding traffic challans, whereby, through NIC number, the number of challans of the driver concerned could be ascertained, on the basis of which his punishment would be proposed.
Muhammad Pervez Rathore said that record of stolen vehicles of all districts and provinces is being inter-linked through computer in order to eliminate incidents of car lifting and car snatching. CCPO stressed that Lahore Police would continue to utilise to all available financial and human resources in order to ensure law and order service to the citizens of Lahore.
