EOBI, WWF and Emigration Tower: minister visits sites of under-construction buildings

Federal Minister for Labour & Manpower, Syed Khursheed Ahmad Shah visited the sites of under-construction buildings of Employees Old Age Benefit Institute (EOBI), Worker Welfare Fund (WWF) Complex and Emigration Tower and expressed his satisfaction over the pace of work here Thursday.
Chairman, EOBI, Muhammad Asadullah Sheikh and contractor of the under-construction projects briefed the Minister about the construction work of the building. The Chairman informed the Minister that under construction building of EOBI located in sector G-10/4, comprising of 9 stories would cost Rs 842.46 million, which will be completed till June 2010. During the visit of WWF Complex, the senior officials of WWF informed the Minister that the building would cost Rs 257.624 million, which will be completed by December 2010. While visiting under construction building of Emigration Tower, the Minister was informed by the concerned authorities that the tower will cost Rs 595 million. The building will be completed in March 2011.
The Federal Minister expressed his satisfaction over the pace of construction work at the buildings. He directed the authorities concerned for earlier completion of the buildings and said that standard rule should be followed during the construction of the buildings.
