US cocoa futures closed quietly lower on Friday, consolidating in quiet dealings with pressure from weak chart-based indicators following Thursday's 6.5 percent fall, traders said. Benchmark December cocoa on ICE Futures US fell $22 to close at $2,799 per tonne.
