Sasta Ramazan bazaars set up throughout Punjab

The Provincial Minister for Population Welfare, Neelam Jabbar Chaudhry said that the government has set up Sasta Ramazan bazaars throughout the province, so that the sugar, ghee, atta and other consuming items could be available in sufficient quantity at government prices.
She said that on the instructions of government, the provincial administration has taken a number of steps for abundant supply of atta, sugar and other edibles in Sasta Ramazan bazaars as a result of which situation of the market is improving.
She expressed these views during her visit to Sasta Ramazan bazaar at Phool Nagar on Sunday. She asked the traders not to indulge in profiteering and money minting instead of fleecing the poor and they should earn the blessings of Almighty Allah in this holy month.
She issued orders for the suspension of Food Inspector of Phool Nagar Mohammad Nadeem Shakir and issue warning to DDOR Pattoki Mohammad Rafique, directing to improve the situation of Sasta Ramazan Bazar at Phool Nagar for continues supply of standardised food items on government control prices. The minister said that government has adopted a comprehensive strategy for the benefit of fasting people and all the resources are being utilised for the sake of masses. She said that 20kg atta bag is being sold at Rs 200, whereas, 10kg atta bag for Rs 100 in Sasta Ramazan bazaars and sugar is available for Rs 40 per kg.
