The local authorities assisted by the police and security forces early on Monday succeeded to overcome the fire which destroyed more than a dozen vehicles here at the Chaman border. The fire was caused by a blast, which soon engulfed many vehicles parked besides the highway near the Border Point.
According to a local police official, the fire destroyed a total of 16 vehicles most of them trailers. The authorities were able to overcome the inferno after eight hours long struggle. A driver of a trailer died in the incident.
