Indonesian shares closed 1.59 percent higher Thursday, spurred by bargain-buying in commodity-related stocks due to rising oil prices, dealers said. The Jakarta Composite Index added 36.33 points to 2,322.25 in moderate trade. Big miner Aneka Tambang rose 3.41 percent to 2,275 rupiah, palm oil producer Astra Agro gained 1.97 percent to 20,700 and Indofood increased 6.73 percent to 2,775. The rupiah ended at 10,120 to the dollar compared to 10,170 at the last close.
