Four killed in different incidents

At least four people including a minor boy were killed in different incidents across the metropolis on Friday, police and witnesses said. A 25-year-old man was stabbed to death in Gulistan-e-Jauhar and another 35-year-old man was shot dead by unidentified men in a house located in Bahadurabad. The police have recovered a three-day old body of a minor from Korangi while a 12-year-old boy drowned in the rainwater drain at Saddar.
Sources at Gulistan-e-Jauhar police station told Business Recorder that a 25-year-old Haider was stabbed to death during a quarrel between two families hailing from Gilgit and Hunza on Friday. The deceased was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for treatment but he succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital.
The investigations are under way. In another incident, a 35-year-old man namely Abbu Ahmed son of Noorul Haq was killed by unidentified armed men in a house while performing his duties as a cook in that house, during Saher. The body of the deceased was shifted to JPMC for post-mortem. The reason of his murder could not be ascertained. The police have registered an FIR no. 159/09 under section 302 on the request of the house owner Dr Moez against unknown culprits. The police has initiated the probe, but no arrest has been made till our going to press.
Meanwhile, the police have recovered a four-day old body of an unknown minor boy under Jam Sadik flyover, Korangi. The body was shifted to JPMC for post-mortem from where it was shifted to Edhi Morgue for want of identification. In yet another incident, a 12-year-old teenager was drowned in a rainwater drain near Fire Brigade Station, Saddar.
