Education plays pivotal role in nation building: vice chancellor GCU

The Vice Chancellor Government College University (GCU) Lahore Dr Khalid Aftab regards well cultured person as an asset of the society, country, and his family; and said that GCU always put strenuous efforts for promoting the students in a cultured way, which makes GCU different from other educational institutes.
While speaking at the orientation session of the newly admitted batch of Pre Eng, ICS and General Science students here on Tuesday in the Bukhari Auditorium of the GCU, Vice Chancellor GCU said that education plays pivotal role in nation building. Students should focus on their respective disciplines and GCU is providing conductive environment for the students.
He informed the students about the glorious academic history and excellent traditions of this institution. He apprised the students that a Ravian spirit was the spirit of enlightenment and urged the students to emulate the path of great luminaries who had been associated with the Government College.
He stressed that the students should have pro-active approach for being a thorough gentleman and told newly admitted Ravians to strive for more knowledge as one couldn't get the real status without knowledge. Dr Khalid Aftab clued-up the students that they were not allowed to involve in any political activity at the campus. He further told them that our ideas should not become a subject of mar to any individual person or his feelings.-PR
