Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), Muhammad Pervez Rathore has threatened to take stern action against those property dealers and owners of hotels and guest houses who would not keep record of their new tenants, as well as departmental action would also be taken against the concerned SHO of the area.
In an official communiqué, CCPO directed divisional SPs to ensure property dealers of their areas to maintain complete record of new tenants and no room should be rented to any new comer without verifying original computerised identity card of the person concerned by the owners of hotels and guest houses.
He said property dealers and owner should not strike any deal regarding any property or with any tenant without proper I.D card verification.
He stressed the need of citizens' co-operation with regard to eradicating all heinous crimes, including terrorism, as apparently an insignificant information provided by the people can lead to stoppage of a major crime.
CCPO said that criminal elements can be located through their suspicious activities and can be pin pointed by paying necessary attention on the surroundings.
He further directed divisional SPs to personally supervise patrolling in the city and conduct surprise visits to ascertain efficiency of the deputed police officials, whose report should be submitted to him daily.
He also directed the officers to utilise all their energies to achieve their target by reorganising the lists of proclaimed offenders, court absconders, drug pushers, gambling dens and brothels in the city and take stringent action against them.
He also underlined the need to promote community policing and keep close liaison with the notables of the area for this purpose. He directed to arrest criminals of different criminal gangs, which are still at large. CCPO directed immediate and timely action on any information received from the citizens and warned that strict action would be taken against any police official showing laxity and dereliction of duty in this regard.
