Vice Chancellors to seek help of Governor over disquiet in universities

The Vice Chancellors of the various Universities of the Sindh have expressed serious concern over disturbances at the campuses of the province and decided to apprise the Governor Sindh/Chancellor and also Chief Minister Sindh for improvement of law and order at the Campuses.
This was decided by the Vice Chancellors of different Universities of the province in a meeting hosted by University of Sindh at its Campus on Saturday.
The Vice Chancellor University of Sindh Mazharul Haq Siddiqui, Vice Chancellor Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) Dr A. Q. K. Rajput, Vice Chancellor Sindh Agriculture University Dr A.Q Mughal, Vice Chancellor Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur Dr Nelofer Shaikh, Vice Chancellor Quaid-i Awam Engineering University Nawabshah Dr Wahid Bux Soomro, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr Rafia Ahmed Shaikh and Registrar M. Saleh Rajar attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed the law and order situation at the campuses, created by students wings of the political parties and day to day boycott of classes and self granted leave.
The meeting also discussed attitude of few students and their illegal demands, which resulted in hurdles of peacefully educational environment depriving large majority of students of their right to get education.
The meeting realised that due to present situation at the various Campuses, the purpose of the education had been very badly affected with consequent loss of the educational purpose in the Universities. The meeting unanimously decided to hold a meeting with the Governor/Chancellor of the Universities to apprise him about whole situation and problems faced by the Universities to seek help for ensuring of peaceful environment in the Universities.
